Cost: $69.99 new from Logitech
Use: I have had this keyboard for quite some time. I can’t actually remember when or where I bought it but I know it was one of the very first keyboards I bought for my new iPad. I was one of the first people to order and own the very first iPad, so it’s been around for awhile.
The reason I’ve had it for so long is because it is simply the best way to type on an iPad as long as you’re not mobile! The keyboard is about 11 inches long and 5 inches wide. It’s pretty thin so that measurement isn’t a problem. It comes in a case that is just a little bit bigger than the keyboard but the case makes itself useful by folding into a stand for you iPad. This will work just perfectly if you carry your iPad in a backpack. This keyboard will easily split into one of the compartments and will be ready to set up when you need it.
It connects to your iPad using bluetooth and does require two AAA batteries but they last forever. There is a on/off switch for the bluetooth connection and a connect button on the back to do the initial pairing. This keyboard will also connect via bluetooth with just about any other table or bluetooth device you might have. I’ve connected it with several Samsung tablets, an LG G Pad 8.3 and my Amazon Kindle HDX 8.9. All work just perfectly with the Logitech Tablet Keyboard.
My Opinion: You can search around for a whole lot of different keyboards for the iPad. Some work better than others but if you want to use the case type, the keyboards in that size will be small. It’s probably best to have one of these Logitech Tablet Keyboards tucked away some where when you just have to type something and need to do it quickly.
Summary: Since this Logitech Tablet Keyboard has been on the market for awhile, you might find it greatly discounted if you shop around. I still think this is the best way to type with an iPad in front of you.
